Hard Maple Handmade Wall Clock – 32" Diameter No.3204

When building this clock I found two amazing things about this piece of hard maple. first was the incredible figuring within the centre of the wood, caused by the growth of the small branch - now only left as a knot. But as the wood was so hard in the area the saw "shuttered" as it cut through giving it an overlaying texture inconsistently across the wood. I chose to leave it giving the eye endless discoveries while exploring it. 

Hard Maple, also known as Sugar Maple, is prized for its strength and fine, consistent grain. Its creamy white to light golden tones create a clean and timeless look, often accented by subtle figuring or occasional dark streaks.
